Time stamp. Approaching 40! Coloring my hair is no longer a want, it has become a need due to the grey that is rapidly approaching and aggressively taking over my entire being. This 4 -5 week hair coloring gig is emotionally challenging and financially draining but it's part of the aging process. As a busy Mother of 3, dedicated spouse of 1, enthusiastic teacher to many, I attempt to cook for myself and the hungry that reside in my household. Not only are my taste buds changing but the impact food has on my body is new. It seems far more difficult to burn the (drive thru) calories I consume which means I need to sweat more often and eat Whole Foods. Gone are the days of wearing Lululemon Wonder Under pants and matching tank to multitask the way modern ladies do without producing a single bead of sweat: Lounge on the sofa, watch HGTV, free feed, text, switch the laundry, and order additional pieces of clothing from the "we made too much" section within Lululemon's site. Now, I must put my "active wear" to use! I put on those wonder under pants and tata tamer bra and hit the gym in an attempt to feel the burn and lose the muffin top that I can no longer tuck into my high wasted wonder unders. This evolution is creating a domino effect! Since my "active wear" now smells of sweat and toxins, I cannot wear it to work due to the negative impact it may have on students and colleagues. I must make a serious effort to spruce up my wardrobe and dress like the Saucy teacher I am - not the dodge ball player I want to be. I am guessing that I'm not alone in this journey; so I hope this site serves as a place to share the delightful goodness that I discover as I attempt to learn, grow, and achieve in all areas of my life.
